An annual tradition since 2001, the White Nights Gala takes place each summer during the Stars of the White Nights Festival. Hosted by The Mariinsky Theatre and Maestro Valery Gergiev, the 2008 Gala took place in the glorious Catherine Palace at Tsarskoye Selo.

At this unforgettable private event, one is transported to another era, a world of celebration as enjoyed by legendary Russian Empress Catherine the Great. The evening includes a champagne reception, grand dinner, a performance by the great opera and ballet stars of the White Nights Festival, and dancing to the Mariinsky Orchestra in the magnificent Throne Room of the Catherine Palace. The night continues with an unparalleled display of fireworks, fine desserts, and entertainment in the lovely Palace Gardens and the Cameron Gallery.
